Tyntesfield is a two-form entry primary school in Sale and was the first school to join Inspiring Learners Multi-Academy Trust. Tyntesfield is an over-subscribed primary school and was graded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in November 2013.
Tyntesfield is a National Support School and Kylie Spark, the Executive Headteacher, is a National Leader of Education. National Leaders of Education (NLEs) and National Support Schools (NSS), use their skills and experience to support schools in challenging circumstances. Tyntesfield has a very successful record of working with other schools, headteachers, groups of teachers and individual teachers in improving teaching and learning and pupil attainment and achievement. In addition to leading their own schools, NLEs work to increase the leadership capacity of other schools to help raise standards.
In 2015 Tyntesfield was designated a Teaching School, one of three lead schools in Trafford Teaching School Alliance (TTSA). Over the past three years the school has worked closely with many Trafford Primary Headteachers to develop a comprehensive CPD Programme, Research and Development opportunities and school to school support for Trafford primary schools.
Kathryn Manion is Head of School, and works closely with the Trust Board, the Executive Headteacher and Local Governing Body to ensure Tyntesfield continues to be a centre of excellence and innovation.
